David’s most recent film, The Perfect Host, will have its world premiere at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival, which will take place from 21-31 January. Huzzah!
This is the first movie he’s actually appeared in (as opposed to just doing narration/voiceover) since 2003′s Down With Love, believe it or not.
Here’s a snippet from the Sundance website:
The Perfect Host / USA
Director: Nick Tomnay
Screenwriters: Nick Tomnay and Krishna Jones
A criminal on the run cons his way into the wrong dinner party where the host is anything but ordinary.
Cast: David Hyde Pierce, Clayne Crawford, Helen Reddy, Nathaniel Parker.

Huzzah indeed! Not before time. Looking forward to seeing David as a suave villain.
Yeah, maybe he can get working on that Oscar nom now, the slacker.
A quick question. Is The Perfect host in or out of contest in the Sundance Festival?
I’m dying to see the trailer!!! (and the film too, LOL)
I don’t think it’s in a contest, think it’s just being shown. Yeah, I’d love some more info, too! Even a pic of DHP in character would be good.
Here it is.
