In a recent interview with Next magazine, Michael Feinstein talked about what it was like doing the Holiday Show with David:
Cabaret sensation Michael Feinstein ended the year on a high note, wrapping up his monthlong holiday show with stage and small-screen star David Hyde Pierce at his namesake club in the Regency last night. “Even though we’ve been good friends and neighbors [in LA] for 15 years, David and I had never worked together,” says Feinstein of the Frasier actor. “He’s exactly the same onstage and off — warm, facile, witty, attentive, creative and giving.”
From all accounts, the two gay crooners had a blast, with Michael admitting David is “a great musician and knows more technically about music than I do!” Performing live means expecting the unexpected, as Feinstein realized one night. “The bass player’s amp had a short and started to smolder while I was singing ‘What Kind Of Fool Am I.’ David dead-panned that I should have sung [it as] ‘What Kind Of Fuel Am I.’”
Hee … David can never resist punning, it seems …

Like I always say – David’s got wonderful puns.
