DHP.org is back!

Yes, we are delighted to report that after a short hiatus (and a change of management) DHP.org is up and running again.

This beautiful website is all down to the work of our talented predecessors and we take no credit for it. I’m sure fans of David will join us in thanking them. The bar has been set high, but our aim is to keep up the good work and to maintain DHP.org as the go-to site for David news.

A reminder that DHP.org is an unofficial fansite. Contact us at dhp.org@gmail.com (but bear in mind we can’t put you in touch with DHP!)

David has a busy few months ahead, so without more ado, let’s go on with the show!

You may have noticed a lack of activity on DHP.org recently. The reason is that Real Life has gotten very busy of late and it’s been hard to keep on top of various online projects. Therefore, DHP.org is going on hiatus.

It’s a pity, especially since David’s year is shaping up to be a very interesting one indeed. Not only is The Perfect Host on release in the US, but he’s about to direct his first musical and will star in a play at the end of the year. We’re sad we won’t be documenting it here, but the site will remain up for the foreseeable future, and we’ll keep tweeting.

A huge thanks to everyone who’s commented and supported the site over the last three years – it’s been fun. We leave you with some great Perfect Host press:

Hi everyone, hope you like the site’s facelift! It should work better with different browser and display settings than the previous layout, plus it’s a little simpler and cleaner-looking. Still ironing out a few kinks but bear with us! Would love to hear any comments you have. Thanks!

Hey guys,

We’re sure lots of you have taken note of that cheeky Paypal Donate button in the right column. Those of you who are members of the forum might also recall getting a panic-stricken mail some weeks back, announcing that DHP.org would have to close for financial reasons. Well, the financial situation is not as drastic as it first seemed, and the site is staying open for now. As you guys probably know, running a website is not that expensive, relatively speaking – it’s just a lot for us, right now. (DHP.org is an unofficial fansite, by the way – so it’s not like we can hit David up for some dough!)

So, we’re asking for mini donations to keep things ticking over. There are certainly a gazillion other more important things you could be spending your money on, but if you use the site a lot, or if it’s helped you write an article or prepare for an interview – do consider donating a buck or two. At the risk of sounding all Tesco, every little helps.

In other twitter news: according to Time, the Sundance twitter account (twitter.com/sundancefest) will feature some celebrity tweets over the course of the festival, including DHP.

UK store added to site

If you hover over the FUN STUFF tab in the top menu, you’ll see we’ve added a UK store to go with the original US one – for all your Region 2 needs!

Though less DVDs are available in Region 2 than in Region 1, there are some exceptions, such as this handsome complete Frasier box set.
